Travis Partyka’s (Par-tee-kah) untimely loss in 2021, stemming from the challenges of mental health following his return from war, spurred us into action to commemorate his legacy. Thus, the inception of the Partyka Scholarship, an annual tribute awarded to a deserving applicant for the current winter season, one who embodies the very essence of Travis’ character.

Travis was more than a resilient individual; he exemplified exceptional loyalty, extending unwavering support to those around him. Strength, both physical and emotional, was a cornerstone of his character, shaping him into a source of inspiration for others facing similar struggles. The Partyka Scholarship, by celebrating these facets of Travis’ character, aims to uplift and individual who embodies this unique combination of loyalty, kindness, humility, passion, grit, strength and contagious enthusiasm.

The scholarship recipient not only gains access to a fully-funded clinic, covering education, lodging, food and adventure, but also receives a complete gear setup to take home. Skis/board, boots, bindings, poles, avalanche gear and a pack are provided to equip them not just for winter sports, but as a symbolic representation of the tools to navigate life with the same spirit Travis embraced.
